Win & Recognition for Three Projects – 2024 Property Industry Awards
At this year’s Property Industry Awards, three outstanding projects Kirk Roberts were involved in received accolades, highlighting our dedication to innovative and community-focused developments. The prestigious event recognises exceptional property projects across New Zealand.
In Christchurch, the completed Riccarton Road public housing project, developed for Kāinga Ora, won the esteemed Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities Community and Affordable Housing Property Award. This project, where our team provided civil and fire engineering services, was praised by judges as ‘hard to fault’. The judging panel also noted the intelligence applied throughout the development process and the cohesive teamwork that contributed significantly to its success.
Leonie Freeman, Chief Executive of Property Council New Zealand, commented, “The Riccarton Road project exceeds suitability for purpose on almost every level and is an exemplary project for modern social housing.”
Joining Riccarton Road in the spotlight, Bader Ventura in Auckland was awarded Excellence in the same category. Bader Ventura is notable as Australasia’s first government-funded Passive House development of this size for public housing customers. This achievement underscores Kirk Roberts’ capability in providing geotechnical and structural engineering services that support impactful community housing solutions nationwide.
Additionally, Koa Flats in Auckland earned a Merit in the Multi Unit Residential Property Award, showcasing our multi-disciplinary range, versatility, and dedication to excellence in property development. We provided Residential Developer Ockham with multi-disciplinary engineering support, engaging our Structural, Civil, and Fire engineering teams to bring this small but perfectly formed complex into a functioning reality. Following Ockham’s completion of the Concept Design & Resource Consent, the Kirk Roberts Architecture team was engaged as the Lead ‘Design’ Consultant.
At Kirk Roberts, we are committed to pioneering advancements in engineering and design, ensuring our services and expertise positively contribute to the built environment and the communities we serve.
