What’s new – Specifi™
The Specifi™ team have been busy with a number of significant changes including, the H1 Energy Efficiency Calculator, continuous beams and the addition of the MAXRaft family of foundations, going live over the past month.
An idea between two university students, Jade Kirk and Damian McMillian, lead to the creation of Specifi many years later. This software streamlines residential engineering for designers, with Quality Assurance completed within two working days.
With the New Zealand building industry ever-adapting, the H1 clause, new product offerings and changing trends and requirements from designers, we’ve added a ‘Whats New’ page to Specifi. This way users can hop on and see all the latest updates easily.
The H1 Calculator provides users with H1 relevant documents for consent documentation and notifies designers when their design meets the requirements for their project’s region. This is a standalone feature and can be undertaken in isolation of our other extensive range of services.
We are constantly adding to the list of products included in Specifi to give designers a greater scope of choice, with this now including the MAXRaft foundation family.

MAXRaft is one of New Zealand’s leading suppliers of Fully Insulated Concrete Slabs, which are designed to increase the thermal performance of a home from the foundation up. Described as one of the quickest and most efficient building methods for concrete flooring in the New Zealand by David Reid Homes, Specifi is proud to include MAXRaft as part of our online offering.

Lastly, continuous beams have been added, with cranked beams coming soon.
