Getting to know Steve Temple
We recently welcomed Steve Temple to our Hamilton office as the new regional manager. Having already made a huge impact to the team, we thought it was a perfect time to get to know him better.
Steve has over 20 years’ experience in ground engineering, project management and leadership across a wide range of infrastructure sectors including transport, government, land development, and energy. He previously led and delivered the multi-million-dollar ground investigation for City Rail Link (CRL), which consisted of drilling over 100 boreholes in the Auckland CBD. He enjoys the challenge of managing multiple disciplines and is excited to lead growth for the company in the Waikato region.
The growth plan is already well underway, with the Hamilton team welcoming new staff members and a bigger office in the works. Watch this space!
Its been really good joining KR,” says Steve. “There’s a real team environment. It’s got that kiwi small company feel – you’re not just a number.”
Already greatly appreciated by not only the Hamilton team, but also the wider Kirk Roberts family, Steve assures us the appreciation is reciprocated. He’s thankful for the incredible team leads, hard workers and passionate people to extend the companies reach in the Waikato area.
As a self-proclaimed workaholic, Steve occasionally finds time to work on his lifestyle block creating gardens. He can also be found cooking up a storm in the kitchen – Pad Thai is his speciality we’re told.
Other than the supportive and welcoming team, some of his highlights so far at Kirk Roberts have been attending the KR social events, welcoming new team members, and getting involved with the community teams we support – in particular the Ohaupo rugby club and the teams at the Hamilton City Netball Centre.
The Kirk Roberts team are so happy to have Steve on board and can’t wait to see where he takes the Hamilton team.
