Damian McMillan is a founding director of the company, opening the Tauranga office in 2006. With over 20 years in the construction and engineering industry, he is knowledgeable and experienced in managing complex projects, building key client relationships, and developing a national team. He has been exposed to a large variety of projects including industrial, commercial, retail, healthcare, education, and software development. Damian brings succinct communication with a ‘no surprises’ approach for clients. With a passion for innovation, he is focused on driving the company forward through new initiatives, culture, and software development.
When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Damian fishing, diving, or gardening (with a chainsaw and any other powertool!) and spending time with his family.
Coming from a farming family and educated at Canterbury University, Mark began his professional career as a field engineer in the oil and gas sector in Queensland, Australia. He has since built a diverse portfolio of project and leadership roles across major international organisations operating in New Zealand and Australia.
Mark is passionate about empowering teams of talented individuals to maximise their potential and deliver outstanding collective outcomes. He believes that collaboration, communication, innovation, and quality are the foundations of high-performing teams and he works intentionally to embed these values into everyday operations. As a keen follower of emerging technology, Mark is always looking for smart, practical ways to improve how teams work and deliver.
Outside of work, Mark and his wife, along with their two young boys, enjoy spending time with friends and family and making the most of New Zealand’s great outdoors. He’s often at the gym before sunrise, staying fit to keep up with the boys, or catching a game of cricket at Bay Oval.
“I’m impressed by how the KR team truly embody the company’s values, finding better ways, thinking big, and working as one passionate team. KR has developed a culture that feels open, safe, and focused on delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients.”
Daniel has over 18 years of architectural experience undertaking design and documentation within the residential, commercial, industrial, and education sectors. He enjoys working with clients to develop innovative architectural designs.
