Danske Mobler located in Tauriko, Tauranga was officially opened in July 2023.
A true collaboration across multiple Kirk Robert’s offices, our team delivered this 2,000 m² warehouse and showroom development over a spacious 0.4 ha double site and utilised a multidiscipline approach that incorporated both design and engineering services.
Our architectural department designed the overall site plan, to complete the building design concept right through to finished resolved architectural design.
The building features a 600sqm double height Showroom incorporating an 8m high feature glazed façade with a 1,300sqm warehouse and 210sqm (rear) canopy. The building design primarily utilises precast panels and primary and secondary steel structures throughout with a centrally supported 52m wide warehouse.
The exterior roof’s, fascia’s, soffit’s and feature parapet all utilise insulated panels from Kingspan NZ providing outstanding long-life, low maintenance, aesthetically pleasing finishes to both the interior and exterior surfaces while providing considerable thermal properties throughout the entire building.
We delivered this project utilising our geotechnical, structural, fire and civil engineering departments while our architectural department was also responsible for the overall design coordination and statutory management that also included administration and management of all additional consultants and subconsultants necessary for a successful building consent application.
