Leading the Future of Structural Engineering
Kirk Roberts Welcomes Deborah Curd

Kirk Roberts Consulting is delighted to welcome Deborah Curd as our new National Structural Manager.
Deborah brings over two decades of experience in the New Zealand construction and property industry, having worked across a diverse portfolio of commercial, educational, and infrastructure projects. Her expertise spans seismic strengthening, structural design, and collaborative project delivery, making her a natural fit for this pivotal leadership role at Kirk Roberts.
As National Structural Manager, Deborah will play a key role in shaping the future direction of our structural team, driving technical excellence across all regions, and building on Kirk Roberts’ strong reputation for practical and innovative engineering.
“Joining Kirk Roberts at this stage of its growth is an exciting opportunity,” says Deborah. “I’m looking forward to working alongside our talented teams to strengthen national consistency, enhance technical delivery, and empower collaboration across disciplines. My focus is on ensuring our structural capability continues to evolve — leveraging innovation, sharing knowledge, and supporting our people to deliver outstanding results for clients.”
Deborah is highly respected for her strategic mindset, technical depth, and ability to bridge the gap between engineering detail and broader development goals. Over her career, she has contributed to industry working groups, governance roles, and regulatory advisory panels, helping advance engineering practice across Aotearoa.
Outside of work, Deborah enjoys exploring Canterbury’s great outdoors with her young family and is currently gearing up for their next big adventure — a proper camping trip with the kids.
Her appointment marks an exciting step for Kirk Roberts Consulting as we continue to strengthen our multidisciplinary expertise and support our clients with innovative, resilient, and forward-thinking solutions.
