The Acacia Park Rest Home consists of 60 rest home suites, facing north to the sea on the Omokoroa peninsula, in the Bay of Plenty. This construction comprised of six suites of 10 bedrooms each with lounge, dining and kitchenette areas.
KR civil engineers worked on the redevelopment of CHT Healthcare Trust’s – Acacia Park Rest Home. Our team of experts delivered the design of the complex, including a full Civil 3D model development, stormwater, wastewater, water supply network design, detailed pavement, and parking design.
Work on this project was done throughout Level 3 Covid protocols to claw back six weeks of construction delays post-lockdown, delivering the multi-million project on time and on budget. The site has been fully rebuilt from the ground up, with demolition and construction work taking place in stages so that residents were able to stay on-site during the process and simply come into their new rooms once they were completed.
