Our team is providing the Architectural and Structural, Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, and Fire Engineering for The Alfred Hotel development, in Blenheim, which will deliver a high-quality guest experience that showcases Marlborough while supporting the local community and its businesses.
Ideally located, the hotel will maximise the synergy between the existing ASB Theatre, the Marlborough Events Centre, and the new Wine and Food Experience. The hotel will feature 123 room across six floors.
The development includes the renovation of the former Clubs of Marlborough, which will be refurbished to offer a warm, inviting space to enjoy the food and wine of the region. New restaurant facilities will utilise the existing commercial-grade kitchens and terraces overlooking the Taylor River, with the hotel linked to the main building via an airbridge on the first floor.
Our geotechnical engineers provided an innovative solution for complex ground conditions onsite, significantly reducing project costs. Our environmental engineers also delivered cost efficiencies by reusing fill onsite rather than removing it, further supporting sustainability.
