Kirk Roberts’ National Structural Manager, Deborah Curd is a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, recognised for her expertise in seismic strengthening, structural design, and collaborative project delivery.
Deborah’s career has spanned a wide range of sectors including commercial, education, health, and infrastructure. She has led numerous seismic assessment and strengthening projects, guiding complex redevelopments and new builds that demand both technical precision and creative problem-solving. Her leadership ensures that client outcomes are always front of mind, with projects delivered efficiently and innovatively.
With extensive experience across multidisciplinary teams, Deborah is respected for her ability to connect structural engineering detail with broader development goals. She has contributed to industry governance and regulatory advisory groups, shaping best practice and raising standards across the profession.
Deborah has played a leading role on significant projects large-scale residential developments, commercial retrofits, healthcare facilities, and seismic assessment and strengthening works. Her work has consistently demonstrated resilience in challenging environments, balancing budget, design vision, and regulatory compliance.
Today, Deborah leads Kirk Roberts’ structural engineering team nationwide, fostering technical excellence, consistency, and innovation. Her collaborative approach builds strong client and partner relationships while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
