Cambridge is the equine capital of New Zealand, producing some of the world’s best racehorses. We proudly delivered multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy services for New Zealand’s iconic thoroughbred nursery – Cambridge Stud. From concept to completion, we worked with our client to ensure their vision for this world-class facility became a reality.

This sizeable redevelopment features a brand-new office space and six state-of-the-art stables – including the Main Stable (a spacious 60m x 12.5m single-level shed), Stallion Stable, Yearling Stable, Covering Barn, and Prep Barn. The old office was redesigned and is now home to Cambridge Stud’s Heritage Centre – a must-visit destination in the Waikato, offering visitors a closer look into the world of the thoroughbred racing.

Our multi-disciplinary approach including geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering consultants provided our client with cost and time savings by working collaboratively, our geotechnical and civil engineers efficiently provided the engineering for the Building Consent submission. From initial concepts to construction monitoring, our structural engineers ensured every design element was practical, durable, and built to last.

Where tradition meets innovation, Cambridge Stud now reflects its award-winning legacy, featuring smart design and highly functional stables while celebrating the remarkable history of Sir Patrick Hogan’s iconic grounds through the newly developed Heritage Centre.
