70 New Homes for the Auckland Community
The Challenge
Our client required structural and fire engineering solutions to meet their firm program and deliver a total of 70 new homes for the Auckland community cost-efficiently, without delays and other issues commonly faced during construction.
The Kirk Roberts Solution
As part of our structural offering, we provided BIM LOD 400 Modelling of structural steelwork, precast panels and in-situ reinforced concrete for shop fabrication drawing. This resulted in fully coordinated construction documentation, accelerating materials procurements and ‘defectless’ construction.
Our fire engineers worked with others to provide our client with an efficient and cost-effective approach to safely negate the smoke lobby requirements for this building in discussion with Auckland Council.
Dominion Constructors were delighted as construction progressed well, without any considerable issues. This was their first design and build project using our BIM LOD 400 modelling capability, and following this success, we have since delivered many other projects together in the same way, including developments on Sudeley Street, Grace Street, and Edmonton Avenue.
