About the role

You will lead the delivery of projects, as well as provide specialised technical expertise on complex engineering projects: residential, commercial and industrial.  This is a varied role which will see you establishing and maintaining client relationships; preparing preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs; managing on-site investigations and monitoring; reporting on the progress of project delivery and contributing to technical development within the team through coaching and mentoring.

You will work on a range of projects and enjoy the technical challenges and problem solving involved in producing the latest technical designs.

About you

• Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent. CPEng preferred.
• 7 years+ professional engineering experience in NZ, with proven seismic experience to NZ codes and strong technical knowledge.
• Experience in leading and managing the delivery of structural engineering projects.
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and local councils as well as lead and contribute to project delivery.
• A natural organiser with a high attention to detail, you will be adept at managing your time to deliver client projects on time and within budget.
• Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people.
• Able to coach and mentor colleagues to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
