Our ethical values shape our culture and build our reputation. How we treat our employees, how we engage with clients and how we work alongside suppliers is reinforced through our values. Our common regard for the highest standards of honesty and integrity is a big strength.

We ensure that each of us knows that every time we do the right thing, we reinforce the understanding among our fellow employees, our customers, our suppliers and our stakeholders that this is how Kirk Roberts operates.

With a shared understanding of our ethical values  our business reputation is strengthened and by building awareness of our business ethics throughout the value chain we avoid compromise. In the same way, if any of our stakeholders have ethical concerns we encourage them to raise these with us.

If anyone come to believe our business behaviour falls short – we will listen.

Our decision to become the inaugural subscriber within the engineering and construction sector in New Zealand to the Institute of Business Ethics in UK was not taken lightly.

Having said this we stand alongside government agencies, professional bodies, including the Institute of Directors, legal firms and financial firms in wanting to ensure we are up to date and take the lead from globally recognised best practice.

We value the trust placed in us to apply our engineering skill and capability to a standard best achieved by the pursuit of excellence. We recognise that each of us must operate within our scope of expertise and be responsible for putting our clients' interests first.

 

 

Speaking Up

We believe in speaking up. Should we notice or have brought to our attention wrongdoings, inadequate or poor engineering or related practices, we will not stand by and see our clients or other stakeholders suffer the consequences of such.

Health and Safety

We will invest in our employees across all aspects of their tenure with us. This means not only developing their competencies and overall capability, but through taking care and remaining watchful that all health and safety and risk reduction measures are in place.
